I used the disk in both my large screen tv/dvd combo and in my portable dvd player. I still get the same type of play on the combo. I really can't tell whether it worked or not because the portable didn't have a problem to begin with.

Many reviewers had goo luck with this product; however it did not solve the skipping problem with our DVD player. Our player is about 10 years old, and it may have reached the end of its expected life. The product seems well made and it is easy to use. I will likely use it after our new DVD player arrives.

My drive is recognized by the computer but NO disk (blank, commercial CD, commercial DVD) gets read.
All show (under "properties") that the disk is full, but files are not listed.
Apparently this cleaner gives instructions FROM the disk.
Will it work if the computer can't read disks at all? How will I know what to do and when?
USELESS FOR CD PIONEER PLAYERS

Purchaed this supposed DVD/CD cleaner to clean my Sony and JVC DVD Player/Recorders. Saw NO improvement on DVD's and would NOT even load on either of my Pioneer 6-Disc Mag Players. Useless product and big waste of money. I had used Memorex's OptiDisc DC/DVD cleaner previously, but wasn't completely satisfied with cleaning, so was hoping this cleaner would be better based on reviews. But it was not. Do NOT Buy.

After searching for ways to fix a burn error I continually got on my MacBook Pro, I stumbled across this product. I was wary of inserting it into a slot drive, but had nothing to lose. Within 5 minutes I was done with the cleaning process and burning discs again with absolutely no problems.
